Iberdrola has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with AGRATI Group, a global specialist in fastening systems and mechanical components, to supply renewable electricity to its French manufacturing facilities. Starting in 2025, AGRATI will source 100% of the electricity produced by the Florembeau wind farm, located in Créquy, Pas-de-Calais.
The Florembeau wind farm consists of five wind turbines with a total generation capacity of 10.25 MW. It is expected to produce 21 GWh of electricity annually, significantly contributing to AGRATI’s sustainability goals and carbon footprint reduction.
AGRATI operates three production sites in Fourmies, Vieux-Condé (Nord Pas-de-Calais), and Avressieux (Savoie), employing 570 workers across 84,000 square metres of manufacturing space. These facilities consume 38 GWh of electricity per year, and the Florembeau wind farm’s output will cover 53% of their energy needs.
By switching to low-carbon electricity, AGRATI is set to reduce its CO2 emissions in France by 33% annually, eliminating 2,200 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
Lorenzo Zaniboni, Europe COO of AGRATI said, “This agreement is a key milestone in AGRATI’s journey towards sustainability. Powering our French production sites with renewable energy reduces CO2 emissions while aligning with our long-term commitment to environmental responsibility. Investing in green energy is essential for building a resilient and sustainable future for our industry.”
