Altana, Epoch Blue partner for environmental monitoring across agriculture, forestry value chains

The world’s first Value Chain Management System Altana and Epoch Blue, an environmental monitoring and Scope 3 emissions decarbonisation platform, announced an alliance to enhance transparency and decarbonisation capabilities across agriculture and forestry supply chains. This will be done by combining Altana’s Value Chain Management System with Epoch Blue’s environmental intelligence and insetting capabilities, enabling Altana’s users to leverage Epoch Blue’s comprehensive environmental monitoring capabilities.

This strategic alliance enables end-to-end traceability of carbon and deforestation impacts of agricultural commodities across entire value chains. It provides the ability to allocate environmental outcomes of a product to specific entities within a value chain, fostering transparency, accountability, and improved economics. The partnership facilitates the generation of Product Carbon Footprints (PCF) for products with global and complex value chains. Additionally, it supports seamless collaboration between suppliers and buyers within the Altana platform, allowing for the sharing of information upstream and downstream through company and product profiles.
