Assent launches software to help manufacturers meet EU deforestation rules

Assent Inc. has unveiled a new EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) compliance solution to support manufacturers in meeting the bloc’s deforestation-free sourcing requirements ahead of the 30 December 2025 deadline.

The regulation mandates that products entering the EU, including those made from rubber, wood, soy, or cocoa, be legally produced, free from deforestation, and traceable to the land where raw materials were harvested. Large and medium-sized companies must submit due diligence statements by year-end 2025, with non-compliance risking loss of EU market access and fines of up to 4% of European revenue.

Assent’s EUDR tool integrates AI-powered analytics with regulatory expertise to help manufacturers assess supply chain risks, engage suppliers across multiple tiers and languages, and collect verified compliance data. The platform supports due diligence statement preparation, audit readiness, and proactive risk management within a single system linked to Assent’s broader sustainability management suite.

Catherine Cormier, Chief Product Officer at Assent, said the company’s technology and supplier engagement model position it to address “the scale and complexity challenges of EUDR compliance,” adding that the launch strengthens efforts to build transparent and resilient supply chains.

The EUDR tool expands Assent’s portfolio of sustainability solutions, which also includes compliance tools for the EU Battery Regulation and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism.
