BLUETTI & UN-Habitat partner to promote clean energy in Africa

Clean energy storage leader BLUETTI announced a strategic partnership with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) to drive sustainable energy adoption across Africa. This collaboration, formalised through a “Technology Transfer” Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), focuses on expanding renewable energy access and training for African communities.

The MOU outlines initiatives like BLUETTI’s “Lighting An African Family” (LAAF) programme, which will provide clean energy education and train electricians to support local energy resilience. “This partnership marks a key milestone in our efforts to promote sustainable development across Africa,” said Liting Huang, LAAF Program Manager. Since 2021, the LAAF programme has brought solar power to over 15,000 off-grid families, with plans to now offer training to 30,000-50,000 residents and students in Sub-Saharan Africa.

BLUETTI aims to empower African communities with sustainable energy solutions and knowledge, paving the way for a more resilient and brighter future.
