An Enfinity Global solar PV plant in Italy

Enfinity Global has announced the commercial operation of the first project under its power purchase agreement (PPA) portfolio with Microsoft in Italy.

The newly operational solar photovoltaic plant has a capacity of 33.8 MW AC and marks the start of a strategic collaboration aimed at supporting Microsoft’s sustainability objectives through a reliable supply of renewable energy.

The project forms part of a broader agreement between Enfinity and Microsoft covering up to 366 MW AC of renewable capacity, including additional solar projects currently under construction across Italy.

Under the collaboration, the two companies said they will also seek to generate positive local impacts by investing in regional economies and creating jobs in areas where the projects are being developed, including Lazio, Emilia-Romagna and Basilicata.

“We are delighted to provide solar electricity to a global technology leader like Microsoft,” said Carlos Domenech, chief executive of Enfinity Global. “Our mission is to deliver reliable, value-added renewable energy solutions while acting as a responsible member of the communities where we operate.”

Founded in 2019, Enfinity Global is a US-based renewable energy and sustainability services company with a portfolio of 39.3 GW of renewable energy and storage assets that are operational, under construction or in development, alongside a further 37 GW under negotiation. The company operates across the US, Europe, Japan and India.
