ERM appoints Bill Theofilou as Executive Chair

Global sustainability consultancy, ERM, has appointed Bill Theofilou as Executive Chair, with immediate effect.

Theofilou brings extensive executive and non-executive experience across consulting, advisory services and multiple sectors. He founded US-based strategy consultancy Axia and led the firm until its acquisition by Accenture in 2015, before spending eight years as a Senior Managing Director overseeing Accenture’s global CEO advisory practice. He currently serves on the boards of Twoday, a European digital transformation consultancy, Akumin, a US advanced imaging services provider, and healthcare and artificial intelligence firms Precision Medicine Group and Dyania Health.

In his new role, Theofilou will work closely with ERM’s board, executive leadership team and global partners to help shape the firm’s strategic direction, drawing on his professional services background to support growth initiatives and the firm’s continued evolution in response to client needs.

Tom Reichert, Chief Executive Officer of ERM, said Theofilou brings a rare blend of strategic insight and practical experience in scaling professional services organisations, adding that his perspective will be a significant asset as clients face increasingly complex regulatory and transformation challenges.

Commenting on his appointment, Theofilou said ERM’s leadership in sustainability is “unmatched” and noted that as sustainability becomes more deeply embedded in business strategy, organisations are seeking advice that links ambition with execution.

Rami Bibi, Managing Director and Head of Europe for Global Impact at KKR, said Theofilou’s experience advising boards and executive teams during periods of change will be invaluable as ERM continues to scale and enter its next phase of growth.
