Garanti BBVA has secured a syndicated loan as part of its ongoing foreign funding programme, structured under its Sustainable Debt Financing Framework. The deal includes four tranches with maturities of 367 and 734 days and was signed on 3 June 2025.

The transaction comprises two 367-day tranches worth $95.75 million and €99.275 million, alongside two newly introduced 734-day tranches totalling $191.5 million and €36 million. The cost of the shorter-term tranches was set at SOFR + 1.60% for the dollar portion and Euribor + 1.35% for the euro portion. The longer-term tranches were priced at SOFR + 2.00% and Euribor + 1.75%, respectively.

The loan attracted participation from 43 banks across 20 countries, indicating continued international interest in Garanti BBVA’s sustainable financing activities. Proceeds from the loan will be used in alignment with the bank’s sustainability objectives, supporting foreign trade and projects aimed at climate change mitigation and inclusive economic growth.

Garanti BBVA has been implementing sustainability-linked syndicated loan structures since 2020. The bank previously met its target of delivering TL 400 billion in sustainable finance by April 2025.

The latest transaction reinforces Garanti BBVA’s role in facilitating sustainable finance in Turkey, while also contributing to broader economic activity through foreign trade financing.
