Novata, a sustainability data management platform for private markets, has acquired Atlas Metrics, a European sustainability performance and reporting platform, to strengthen its global footprint and enhance its technology offering for investors and corporates.
The acquisition brings together two data-focused firms at a time when demand for reliable and scalable sustainability information continues to rise. Together, the combined platform now supports over 400 clients and more than 13,000 companies globally, providing tools for collecting, reporting, and analysing sustainability metrics across markets.
Founded in 2021, Atlas Metrics has established itself as a leading player in Europe, working with banks, venture capital firms, and other financial institutions. Its technology uses scalable architecture and AI-driven analytics to simplify sustainability reporting and identify risks. The deal will bolster Novata’s presence in Europe and expand its partnerships with the financial sector.
“This acquisition is an important step toward building the global leader in sustainability management,” said Alex Friedman, CEO and Co-Founder of Novata. “By welcoming Atlas Metrics into the Novata family, we’re delivering on our mission to transform sustainability data into business resilience. Together, we have the scale, technology, and global expertise to help companies and investors turn ESG data management, regulatory readiness, and benchmarking into drivers of long-term value creation.”
Novata has also completed an additional funding round to support its next phase of growth. The round was led by S&P Global, with participation from Hamilton Lane, Motive Ventures, The Ford Foundation, and Novata co-founders Alex Friedman and Josh Green.
Wladimir Nikoluk, CEO of Atlas Metrics, said: “From the start, we saw a natural alignment with Novata, both in mission and in culture. Atlas Metrics has always believed that sustainability management should be simple, scalable, and rooted in technology. Joining Novata lets us deliver on that belief at global scale, giving our clients across and beyond Europe the innovation, efficiency, and trust they need to succeed in a rapidly evolving sustainability landscape.”
With offices in New York, London, Berlin, and Singapore, Novata said the integration of Atlas Metrics’ technology with its own platform would make sustainability management more efficient and improve value creation for clients worldwide.
