ODATA, a subsidiary of Aligned Data Centers, has secured a $1.02 billion green financing package to develop sustainable data centre infrastructure across Latin America.
The deal, announced on Thursday, is the largest sustainable financing agreement in the region’s data centre sector to date, underscoring rising demand for cloud computing and artificial intelligence capacity. With this latest transaction, ODATA has now raised a total of $2.25 billion in financing.
The funding will be directed towards projects that prioritise energy efficiency, renewable energy integration, and sustainable construction practices.
“With these high-quality resources, we are extremely well positioned to drive the expansion of our clients’ digital infrastructure across the region,” said Rafael Bomeny, Chief Financial Officer at ODATA.
The investment will support ODATA’s expansion in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Colombia, providing access to world-class IT infrastructure to meet the growing needs of cloud and AI-driven technologies.
