Puro.earth unveils MyPuro 2.0 to speed up carbon removal certification

Carbon removal crediting platform Puro.earth has launched MyPuro 2.0, an upgraded version of its project management system designed to accelerate certification and improve transparency in the carbon removal market.

The enhanced platform introduces faster audits, real-time tracking, and a more efficient certification process for suppliers seeking CO₂ Removal Certificates (CORCs). The upgrade also lays the groundwork for more frequent credit issuances and future integration of digital monitoring, reporting, and verification (dMRV) tools.

According to Puro.earth, the redesigned interface simplifies project documentation and audit procedures. It introduces new functions such as improved supplier access, easier sharing of audit materials between Puro and independent verifiers, and optimized documentation outputs. The company said that while the review process remains rigorous, the new system provides a more intuitive experience for users.

The improvements are expected to shorten the time required for projects to be verified and certified, enabling both suppliers and buyers to access high-quality credits more quickly. Existing users will transition to the new platform in phases, supported by training resources and at no additional cost.

Built on upgraded architecture developed with Alcove, MyPuro 2.0 supports API connections, notification systems, and wider ecosystem integration, allowing greater automation and reducing administrative workloads.

The company said the platform update provides the foundation for future innovation in high-frequency credit issuance and digital data management within the voluntary carbon market.
