For the first time in the history of the Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA), Singapore has emerged as the regional leader with the highest number of entries in the finals.
A total of 36 entries from Singapore have made it to the final stage of the 11th ASRA, surpassing long-time frontrunner Taiwan, which follows with 32. Indonesia achieved its highest-ever number of finalists this year with 29 entries, while Thailand secured 18 and Hong Kong SAR and Malaysia each accounted for 15.
The record participation highlights the rapid growth and maturity of sustainability reporting across Asia. The finalists represent organisations from 15 countries, demonstrating how sustainability reporting and transparency are becoming mainstream business priorities throughout the region.
However, as ASRA’s organisers remind, being in the finals is no guarantee of victory. The ultimate winners will be revealed only on 24 October 2025 at the ASRA Gala Ceremony in Singapore, where corporate leaders and sustainability professionals from across Asia will gather to celebrate reporting excellence.
“The competition is fierce this year,” said an ASRA spokesperson. “Every finalist deserves recognition, but history shows that a lone dark horse often surprises us on gala night.”
