New NCS investment guide released

A new and comprehensive guide to help investors and financial institutions understand the how and whys of investing in high-integrity Natural Climate Solutions (NCS) has been launched by ERM Sustainability Institute in collaboration with Natural Climate Solutions Alliance (NCSA), Forest Investor Club (FIC) and World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).

The guide outlines the business case for investing in NCS, providing investors with the tools to evaluate, integrate, and execute NCS projects. Emphasising due diligence and comprehensive planning, it helps investors seize the opportunities presented by NCS to reduce and remove greenhouse gas emissions, increase carbon sequestration, and deliver biodiversity and social benefits. Additionally, the guide examines how high-integrity NCS projects and enhanced trust in the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM) can position NCS as a valuable asset class. This offers corporate investors and financial institutions reliable carbon credits and returns on investment while supporting sustainability goals.
