UK IPO partners with WIPO Green to combat climate change

The UK Intellectual Property Office (UK IPO) has partnered with WIPO Green, an online platform by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) that supports global efforts to tackle climate change. The platform connects providers and seekers of eco-friendly technologies to speed up green innovation.

The partnership agreement was signed by Sarah Roberts-Favell and WIPO’s Assistant Director-General Edward Kwakwa during WIPO’s 65th General Assemblies.

The UK IPO will join the WIPO Green advisory board and collaborate with partners to support green innovators. Sarah Roberts-Favell, Deputy Director of International Policy at UK IPO said, “Joining WIPO Green signals the UK’s commitment to supporting green innovation. It is crucial we continue to work and innovate together to develop and deploy new green technologies.”
