Vodafone launches tool to help EU companies with sustainability reporting

Many companies across the European Union will be required to submit a comprehensive ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) report for the first time under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) in 2025. This report evaluates how a company’s actions impact the environment and society.

To assist companies with this new mandate, Vodafone Business Germany and sustainability reporting specialist Envoria have launched ESG Navigator, an all-in-one solution for collecting and analysing ESG data. Envoria, a startup identified by Vodafone Germany’s UPLIFT startup initiative, provides the expertise behind this tool.

Vodafone Business ESG Navigator serves as a central hub for all relevant data, integrating sources from various locations and systems for streamlined processing and analysis. It enables companies to generate and export reports with clear visualisations that adhere to CSRD’s predefined templates.

Vodafone Germany is also offering workshops, training courses, and demos to ensure employees can effectively use the software.

Vodafone Business ESG Navigator provides crucial support to companies in the EU, many of which will encounter terms like ESG, EU taxonomy, and the calculation of their Scope 1, 2, and 3 footprints for the first time. These unfamiliar areas, coupled with a shortage of trained specialists and appropriate tools, can make ESG reporting a challenging task. Non-compliance can result in severe repercussions, including reputational harm and substantial fines.
