Vietnam to upskill workforce for hydrogen, carbon credits sectors

Vocational training will focus on upskilling the workforce in semiconductor chips, hydrogen, and carbon credits sectors, as mandated by Vietnam’s Minister of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung.

Dung emphasised that among the upcoming key tasks, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs (MoLISA) will refine policies and legal frameworks to develop the labour market cohesively, enhance market intermediaries, expand the labour market information system, and strengthen the connection between workforce supply and demand.

MoLISA will also implement employee-focused policies, including social insurance, unemployment insurance, and salary regulations. Simultaneously, the ministry will prioritise training, retraining, and skill development programmes to foster a highly-skilled workforce.
