S-GE launches toolbox helping Swiss exporters meet sustainability standards

Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE), an organisation that promotes investment and entrepreneurship in Switzerland, has introduced a sustainability toolbox to help Swiss exporters navigate these challenges faced due to rising sustainability standards.

The global shift towards sustainability is significantly affecting the export activities of Swiss companies. In recent years, especially in Europe, numerous regulations have been implemented, which are critical for local exporters. At the beginning of this year, S-GE launched a new partnership with EcoVadis to assist Swiss companies in meeting their duty of care and complying with international sustainability standards and ESG requirements.

S-GE’s new sustainability toolbox is designed to simplify the process for Swiss exporters to understand sustainability requirements, assess their impact, and take the necessary actions. The toolbox provides an overview of various services that address sustainability-related challenges.

Currently available only in English, the toolbox categorises tools into three key areas relevant to the export business: sustainable supply chains, ESG reporting, and market access & compliance. Users can search by keyword within the sub-categories and access around 100 tools, each described and linked. For instance, the platform includes a CSR risk-checking tool supported by Seco, which allows companies to assess risks across their entire international value chain.
