Linde to invest over $2Bn in Canada’s largest clean hydrogen facility

Industrial gases company Linde announced that it will invest over $2 billion to establish a clean hydrogen facility, which will supply hydrogen to Dow’s Path2Zero production complex in Alberta, Canada. Scheduled for completion in 2028, this facility will be the largest clean hydrogen production site in Canada and will also serve other customers beyond Dow.

Last year, Linde committed $1.8 billion to another clean hydrogen plant in the U.S. due to growing demand for this eco-friendly fuel. The Dow complex includes a new ethylene cracker, currently under construction, which will boost the chemical manufacturer’s polyethylene production capacity by 2 million metric tons per year.
