UnaBiz to launch trio of innovative IoT solutions for smart buildings

UnaBiz, a Singapore-based IoT service provider and integrator, has introduced three groundbreaking solutions for the Smart Building sector. These new IoT solutions are designed to automate monitoring, optimise operations, and assist building owners in achieving sustainability goals by reducing waste and enhancing efficiency, while also lowering operational and maintenance costs.

The new lineup includes UnaBiz’s advanced Fan Coil Unit (FCU) monitoring solution, as well as two offerings from Milesight, UnaBiz’s strategic partner in Smart Building and Facilities Management.

The UBZ310 is a 3-in-1 IoT solution providing real-time data on fan coil air filters, transforming building maintenance. This system enables informed decisions on filter replacements, significantly reducing downtime and costs. It ensures both financial savings and occupant comfort with features like a high-brightness LED, a lux sensor for air filter cleanliness, dual temperature probes for cooling performance, and a leak sensor for potential overflows. Initial deployments have shown savings of 20% to 50%.

The second solution, CT Series by Milesight, offers a revolutionary approach to energy monitoring, crucial for sustainability reporting. Unlike traditional systems, which can be invasive and costly, the CT Series provides a non-invasive, wireless solution that is cost-effective and easy to deploy. Its self-powered design draws energy directly from the measured circuit, eliminating the need for batteries.

Milesight’s VS Series, which is the third solution, utilises advanced AI algorithms to deliver precise and reliable occupancy and people-counting data. This solution provides valuable insights into space utilisation, enabling businesses to manage resources effectively and optimize allocation.

Calvin Foo, Director of Ecosystem of UnaBiz Singapore said, “UnaBiz’s new IoT solutions leverage advanced sensor technologies to transmit data through either the Sigfox 0G network or LoRaWAN, making it highly adoptable by all existing customers. These wireless battery-operated IoT devices provide building managers with the tools they need to address the growing demand for smarter, more sustainable buildings in Singapore, aligning perfectly with the nation’s vision for a greener, healthier urban environment.”

The solutions will be showcased at BEX Asia 2024, Asia’s premier building exhibition.
