Porche’s electric sports car gets a new look

Porsche Asia Pacific, in collaboration with the Sonderwunsch experts at Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, has unveiled a striking new version of the Taycan Turbo S, a fully electric sports car. The one-off model, called the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade, features a special pigment that shifts color with changes in light and angle, giving the vehicle a dynamic, eye-catching appearance. Inspired by the natural transformation of jade, the paintwork reflects the rich hues and textures of the precious gemstone.

The Celestial Jade edition of the Taycan Turbo S made its world debut at a regional launch event in Singapore on September 5. Following its premiere, the electric vehicle will tour Southeast Asia before being auctioned for charity in 2025.

The Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade will celebrate its world premiere at a spectacular Taycan regional launch event on 5 September in Singapore. From there, the one-off model will go on display in various locations in Southeast Asia before being auctioned off for a good cause in 2025.

This Sonderwunsch production model is based on the upgraded 2024 Taycan, which features enhanced power, greater range, and faster acceleration. The Turbo S delivers up to 700 kW (952 PS) of peak power with Launch Control, reaching 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds—0.4 seconds faster than previous versions. The electric power consumption is 20.5 – 17.9 kWh/100 km, with zero emissions, underscoring its eco-friendly design.

For the first time, Porsche has combined two Chromaflair effect paints for the Celestial Jade, a process that required a year of development and 80 hours of meticulous hand-painting. The special pigments in the paint contain ultra-thin reflective flakes that create a shifting color effect. This finish is also featured on the rear model designation, the “Electric” logo, and the key fob, making the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade a truly standout electric sports car.
