ERM launches end-to-end portal to simplify carbon credit procurement

Sustainability consultancy ERM has introduced an end-to-end carbon credit sourcing portal to help its clients access carbon credits that align with their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction strategies and sustainability goals.

The newly launched ‘ERM Carbon Credit Portal’ is designed to simplify the carbon credit selection and purchasing process, making it easier for organisations to engage with the voluntary carbon market. This portal represents a key step in ERM’s broader strategy to enhance its support for clients’ carbon credit needs, following the establishment of ERM Climate Markets as a new business line.

In partnership with the digital carbon credit platform CEEZER, ERM will enable clients to purchase and retire carbon credits through the interactive portal. The platform offers a curated selection of carbon credit projects and provides access to ERM’s wider sustainability services, such as carbon market strategy, deep project screening, and on-site assessments by ERM’s local teams.

Alexander Cox, Head of Carbon Markets at ERM said, “Clients are increasingly turning to the voluntary carbon market to complement their action on decarbonisation. However, this is a complex market to navigate and one in which trust, transparency and confidence are of paramount importance.”

Cox added, “ERM’s new portal combines our carbon markets strategy, due diligence and technical expertise with CEEZER’s digital enablement capabilities to provide clients with support and guidance at every step of their carbon credit purchasing journey. Our aim is to offer transparent, strategic and unbiased access to carbon credits, providing insight that brings our clients closer to project outcomes and enables informed carbon credit procurement to complement their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction action.”

Magnus Drewelies, CEO at CEEZER said, “Businesses around the globe are looking for safe, impactful and easy solutions to invest in climate markets. By integrating our data-centric carbon credit platform with ERM’s extensive sustainability expertise, we’re empowering organisations to make informed, strategic decisions in the voluntary carbon market. This collaboration not only enhances transparency and trust but also ensures that clients have access to carbon credits that align with their broader sustainability goals.”

Additionally, ERM has made a strategic investment in CEEZER to strengthen its commitment to providing a world-class client experience and help scale the carbon credit market.
