Envision Energy & TÜV Nord partner to drive wind power innovation

Envision Energy has signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with TÜV Nord at WindEnergy Hamburg, focusing on key areas of Envision’s wind power supply chain. The partnership covers nine areas, including technological research, product development, certification, testing, quality management, and internationalization strategies, as part of Envision’s ongoing global expansion and leadership in renewable energy.

At the signing ceremony, TÜV Nord certified Envision Energy’s large-megawatt integrated drivetrain for onshore wind turbines, which boasts a power output exceeding 10 MW. This drivetrain represents a major technological advancement in wind turbine design and strengthens Envision’s position as a global leader in the sector. The drivetrain’s innovation is expected to enhance the performance and reliability of Envision’s wind turbine products.

Speaking at the event, Yimin Lou, Senior Vice President and President of the Wind Turbine Division at Envision Energy said, “Envision Energy remains committed to delivering innovative, high-quality products that meet diverse global market needs. Our partnership with TÜV Nord is crucial in developing new certification models and establishing international safety standards to drive industry transformation.”

Alexander Ohff, Global Executive Vice President of Renewable Energy at TÜV Nord, highlighted the importance of Envision’s leadership in the wind power sector, noting that the drivetrain certification marks a significant milestone. “Envision is spearheading a new era in drivetrain technology, and we look forward to furthering this collaboration to support renewable energy innovations worldwide.”

The partnership has already delivered results, with several SSDA projects and supplier manufacturing assessments completed, ensuring high-quality delivery of future wind power projects. The two companies are also working on certification white papers to incorporate Envision’s self-developed technologies into wind turbine models, further enhancing global competitiveness.
