BluSky Carbon joins Germany’s carbon removal association

BluSky Carbon, a clean technology company in the carbon removal sector, has officially become a general member of the Deutscher Verband für negative Emissionen e.V. (DVNE), Germany’s premier carbon removal association. The acceptance follows an invitation to join the organisation, which focuses on advancing carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technologies.

Founded in June 2023, DVNE serves as a multi-stakeholder, industry-driven platform designed to foster collaboration and the development of policies to support the growth of a world-class CDR industry. It is believed to be the first national association dedicated to CO2 removal and has rapidly established itself as a key player in the field.

BluSky CEO Will Hessert said, “The DVNE is an extraordinary organisation focused on national, European and global goals relating to the removal of carbon dioxide. Germany, as the largest economy in the EU and one of the largest in the world, is fortunate to have strong industry leadership committed to spearheading transformation towards a sustainable future.”

He added,” BluSky already works with some of the member organisations regarding carbon removal verification technologies, as well as business development and sales opportunities. We aim to do our part to participate, learn, and bring some of the policies and ideas home in order to help build a more robust industry in North America.”
