US Department of Transportation unveils climate action playbook

The US Department of Transportation has introduced the ‘Climate Strategies That Work’ playbook, offering 28 research-based solutions to help state, tribal, city, and local governments tackle carbon pollution while building a sustainable and resilient transportation system.

The playbook highlights practical strategies to enhance transportation efficiency, accessibility, and environmental sustainability across the country. Key recommendations focus on clean transportation options, such as electric vehicles, active mobility infrastructure, and freight operational improvements, catering to both urban and rural communities.

Aligned with the US National Blueprint for Transportation Decarbonisation, the playbook provides detailed insights into achieving greenhouse gas reductions, fostering economic growth, and improving public safety. It also includes guidance on funding opportunities and case studies showcasing the real-world impact of these strategies.
