WElink Energy & Achilles partner to enhance sustainable procurement processes

WElink Energy, a prominent developer of large-scale clean energy projects, has entered a collaboration agreement with Achilles to refine its procurement operations and advance its sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals.

Achilles has been providing supplier evaluation and advisory services for over 30 years, helping clients navigate ESG regulations, meet investor demands, and achieve sustainability goals.

With a robust portfolio exceeding 4 GW in solar, wind, storage, and hybrid energy projects across Europe and Africa, WElink has become a key player in the energy transition. Achilles will support this mission by providing a supplier qualification and sourcing tool, ensuring WElink collaborates with reliable and sustainability-aligned partners. This approach aims to optimise supply chain management and strengthen procurement efficiency.

“At WElink Energy, we are committed to building a more sustainable future through every project we undertake. Partnering with Achilles provides us with the security and support needed to strengthen our procurement processes and ensure that we work with suppliers who share our high standards of sustainability and ESG commitment,” said María Jimenez, Procurement Manager Iberia at WElink Energy.

Eva Lezcano, Regional Director Southern Europe at Achilles said, “It is an honour to welcome WElink Energy to our energy community. We are excited to collaborate with them to strengthen their supply chain and provide them with a base of reliable, qualified suppliers, enabling them to meet sustainability legislation and achieve their desired level of quality.”
