Zurich launches solution to help customers assess climate risks through 2100

Zurich Resilience Solutions, the commercial risk advisory and services unit of Zurich Insurance Group, has introduced Climate Spotlight, a cutting-edge digital solution designed to help businesses, municipalities, and public entities identify, mitigate, and manage climate risks. By leveraging advanced climate data, Climate Spotlight provides insights that support strategic planning and operational decisions, enabling organisations to build resilience against the evolving risks of climate change.

Climate Spotlight features two distinct offerings tailored to diverse needs. Climate Spotlight Core provides a live, self-serve dashboard that allows organisations to quickly identify climate risk exposure for up to 100 sites worldwide. For those requiring deeper insights, Climate Spotlight Expert offers customised solutions, including the ability to analyse any number of sites, tailored business and exposure metrics, and expert consultation throughout the process. Both products analyse risks under four climate change scenarios projected through 2100, covering key areas such as risk identification, materiality, and hazard evolution. The tool’s analysis is aligned with CSRD requirements and integrates seamlessly with the TCFD framework, ensuring compliance with global climate reporting standards.

“Understanding your climate risk exposure and developing effective strategies for mitigation and adaptation is of strategic importance. Climate Spotlight caters to the needs of companies and public entities by giving them access to state-of-the-art climate risk data and analysis in a flexible and accessible manner that empowers them to take action and safeguard their people and assets,” said Amar Rahman, Global Head of Climate & Sustainability Solutions at Zurich Resilience Solutions.

The launch of Climate Spotlight aligns with Zurich’s broader commitment to supporting customers in their climate transition. By delivering detailed and actionable data, the tool equips organisations with the resources they need to address climate change risks effectively while complying with evolving regulatory requirements.
