Envision Energy secures Philippines’ largest wind power project

Envision Energy to supply 344.5 MW wind turbines for ACEN’s Quezon North Wind project

Envision Energy has been awarded a landmark contract by ACEN, the renewable energy arm of the Ayala Group, to supply 344.5 MW wind turbines for the Quezon North Wind project. This deal is the largest single wind power project in the Philippines to date.

The Quezon North Wind project is a milestone for both Envision Energy and ACEN, marking their second collaboration. Previously, Envision partnered with ACEN on the 600 MW Monsoon Wind project in Lao PDR, Southeast Asia’s first cross-border wind initiative exporting electricity to Vietnam.

The Quezon North Wind project will be the Philippines’ largest onshore wind farm, featuring high-performance wind turbine generators (WTGs) with 150-metre-tall towers. Envision Energy will deliver comprehensive lifecycle services, including design, engineering, manufacturing, and delivery. The turbines will be tailored to the unique wind conditions of Quezon province, ensuring optimised energy generation and reliability.

Kane Xu, Senior Vice President and President of International Product Lines at Envision Energy commented, “We are thrilled about the opportunities this project brings. Our advanced high-tower turbine technology and intelligent control systems are designed to maximise performance under local wind conditions, significantly increasing energy capture and generation efficiency. This project will bolster the Philippines’ renewable energy capacity and reinforce the nation’s transition to a green economy.”

As the Philippines continues its push for renewable energy, the Quezon North Wind project represents a critical step towards achieving the country’s sustainability goals. This initiative further strengthens Envision Energy’s position as a global leader in clean energy solutions and highlights its role in driving Southeast Asia’s energy transition.
