S&P Global’s Climate Center of Excellence launched

S&P Global has announced the launch of the S&P Global Climate Center of Excellence, a group of renowned scientists and strategists dedicated to advancing the company’s work in long-term climate, environmental, and nature-related research, as well as methodology development.

The center will collaborate across all S&P Global divisions—S&P Global Market Intelligence, S&P Global Ratings, S&P Global Commodity Insights, S&P Global Mobility, and S&P Dow Jones Indices—to ensure that its climate and sustainability solutions are built upon top-tier scientific data and methodologies.

The Climate Center of Excellence aims to provide actionable intelligence to various stakeholders, including investors, banks, companies, and sustainability solution providers. Its key goals include addressing complex methodological challenges in climate and environmental science to drive innovation; promoting science-driven thought leadership to offer intelligence to the market; building academic partnerships for cutting-edge research and innovation; collaborating with S&P Global’s internal teams to leverage scientific, economic, and data expertise to enhance transparency on critical climate and sustainability issues; and offering learning opportunities for S&P Global employees to enhance their understanding of climate and sustainability science.
