Türkiye unveiled the Türkiye Industrial Decarbonisation Investment Platform (TIDIP), a major initiative aimed at advancing the nation’s net-zero ambitions and bolstering its integration into European supply chains. TIDIP aims to mobilise $5 billion in investments by 2030, targeting an annual reduction of over 20 million tons of carbon emissions, according to European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The platform was officially launched at a ceremony in Ankara, attended by senior officials, the head of the EU delegation to Türkiye, and representatives from the EBRD, the primary supporter of the project.
To meet the ambitious climate financing needs, the EBRD is collaborating with the World Bank Group and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to deliver on TIDIP’s goals, the bank added. The platform underscores Türkiye’s commitment to sustainable development and alignment with global decarbonisation efforts.
