Trane Technologies names Mauro Atalla Chief Technology & Sustainability Officer

US-based Trane Technologies, a leader in climate innovation, has appointed Mauro Atalla as its Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer, effective 5 January 2025. Atalla will lead the company’s global innovation, product development, and sustainability strategies while reporting to Chair and CEO Dave Regnery.

Atalla’s role will focus on integrating advanced technologies into Trane Technologies’ product roadmaps, aligning with the company’s 2030 Sustainability Commitments. His work will drive business growth and deliver sustainable solutions to the global market, enhancing the company’s leadership in the fight against climate change.

“Mauro will be a great addition to our team as we continue to innovate for our customers, create value for our shareholders, and contribute to a sustainable future,” said Dave Regnery, Chair and CEO of Trane Technologies.

Atalla brings over 26 years of experience in the industrial sector, including leadership roles in aerospace and buildings industries. As Senior Vice President of Engineering & Technology at Collins Aerospace Systems, he oversaw global teams managing technology development, cybersecurity, product safety, and sustainability. His efforts were pivotal during major integrations like the Rockwell Collins acquisition in 2018 and the United Technologies-Raytheon merger in 2020. Atalla holds a doctorate in engineering mechanics from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Duke University.

Atalla will succeed Paul Camuti, who is set to retire at the end of the year after 13 years with Trane Technologies. Camuti has been instrumental in advancing the company’s sustainability strategy and technology initiatives, helping position Trane Technologies as a leader in climate innovation.

“Paul has played a pivotal role in shaping Trane Technologies’ sustainability and technology strategies. We are grateful for his many contributions and wish him the very best in his retirement,” added Regnery.
