Anew Climate acquires P6 assets to expand carbon-intensity software

Anew Climate has acquired assets and intellectual property from P6 Technologies, a provider of lifecycle assessment and carbon-intensity (CI) software, as it seeks to strengthen its technology capabilities for low-carbon fuel markets.

The acquisition brings P6’s proprietary software platforms, datasets and analytical tools into Anew’s operations, alongside engineering and product staff from P6. Anew said the technology will be integrated with its existing CI tools and models to form a new platform, branded Anew CI, aimed at supporting carbon-intensity measurement and compliance across fuel supply chains.

According to the company, the platform is designed to support functions such as CI calculations, compliance reporting for regulated programmes, and the tracking and forecasting of credit markets. It will also incorporate machine learning and artificial intelligence tools to analyse credit performance.

“As carbon-intensity accounting becomes more critical in clean fuel markets, accuracy and transparency are essential,” said Angela Schwarz, chief executive of Anew Climate. “With the acquisition of P6 Technologies’ assets and the launch of Anew CI, we’re combining best-in-class expertise and technology to set a new standard for data-driven climate action, delivering environmental integrity and precision in carbon-intensity measurement.”

Anew said the new platform will complement its existing technology portfolio, including the Epoch Evaluation Platform used for forest carbon quantification, and is intended to provide a single digital framework spanning both nature-based and engineered climate solutions. The company said this would support fuel producers, regulated entities and corporate clients navigating evolving low-carbon fuel standards and market-based climate programmes.

“Anew is the right company to acquire and advance the P6 technology,” said Peter Bernard, chief executive of P6 Technologies. “Their scale and market expertise will allow the platform to reach new applications and deliver even greater value for companies seeking accurate, defensible life-cycle assessment outcomes.”

Anew said the Anew CI platform is expected to be made available to customers from the first quarter of 2026, with further integrations and updates planned over the course of the year.
