Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) has updated its sustainability action plan, This is Forward, reaffirming its commitment to reach net-zero emissions across Scope 1, 2 and 3 by 2040, following the company’s expansion into the Philippines.
The company has also set revised 2030 targets across four priorities—Climate, Water and Nature, Packaging, and Communities—as it adapts its strategy to reflect its growth into a global business operating across Europe and Asia Pacific.
In 2025, CCEP reported reducing its absolute greenhouse gas emissions by 18.9% compared with 2019 levels while continuing to grow its business. The company said 75.7% of the bottles and cans it sold were collected for recycling, while 45.9% of the PET used in its plastic bottles came from recycled PET.
CCEP also reported returning 105% of the water used in its finished drinks to nature and communities and supporting skills development for 146,100 people since 2023.
The updated plan outlines six targets for 2030, including a 30% reduction in absolute GHG emissions from 2019 levels, collecting and recycling at least 85% of bottles and cans sold, ensuring 30% recycled PET in plastic bottles, and providing skills development opportunities to 500,000 people.
Damian Gammell, Chief Executive Officer at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, said: “As we’ve become a more global business, the challenges and opportunities we face have evolved, so today we are making our sustainability action plan simpler, clearer, and more focused.”
He added: “This sharper focus will allow us to make meaningful progress over the next five years as we continue to deliver on our growth strategy. In the longer term we aim to go above and beyond our 2030 targets and move faster through innovation and collaboration.”
The sustainability strategy is supported by €385 million of planned investment in decarbonisation initiatives between 2025 and 2027. The company said the plan includes market-specific carbon reduction roadmaps, investments in technologies such as AI-enabled agricultural innovation and industrial heat pumps, joint investments in PET recycling plants in Australia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and community-based water replenishment projects.
CCEP also plans to expand skills programmes across Europe and Asia Pacific and strengthen partnerships with suppliers through initiatives such as sustainability-linked supply chain finance programmes.
