Datamaran launches ESG platform with new benchmarking and review tools

Datamaran has introduced the Datamaran Suite, a modular platform designed to support companies in managing ongoing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies. The new platform expands upon the company’s existing materiality analysis tools with features for benchmarking, governance, and internal decision-making.

A central feature of the new Suite is the IROs (Impacts, Risks, and Opportunities) Benchmarking module, which allows companies to compare their ESG disclosures against industry peers. The tool is intended to highlight gaps in disclosures, align with sectoral norms, and strengthen governance through comparative analysis.

The company has also updated its Materiality Analysis workflow, which is part of both the Datamaran Core and Suite offerings. The new “Multiple Reviewers” function enables up to 25 individuals to contribute assessments per topic, allowing for more comprehensive and consistent evaluation of material ESG issues. The system calculates average scores based on inputs, providing a clear output for internal audit and governance purposes.

Additional tools integrated into the Suite include:

  • Topics benchmarking – to compare ESG issue framing across companies
  • Target setting – to support development of evidence-based ESG objectives
  • Harbor+ access – a membership offering updates, roundtables, and peer insights

The Suite aims to provide a unified system for sustainability, risk, legal, and compliance teams to track regulatory developments, assess strategic performance, and improve disclosure processes within a single digital environment.
