EcoVadis has secured a place on Fast Company’s prestigious list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2026. Recognised in the social good category, the firm was lauded for its “Worker Voice” solutions, which have transformed how global enterprises monitor and act upon labour and human rights data. The accolade comes at a critical time, with an estimated 28 million people currently trapped in forced labour, many within private sector supply chains that have historically lacked transparent oversight.
The “Worker Voice” platform addresses a significant “visibility gap” by providing employees with a simple, anonymous channel to report conditions at any time. This shifts the industry away from traditional social audits, which often only provide limited, point-in-time snapshots of complex value chains. By fostering an ongoing dialogue between workers and suppliers, the technology allows organizations to identify human rights risks early and meet increasingly stringent global due diligence requirements.
“Our vision has always been to make sustainability part of everyday business decisions,” said Pierre-Francois Thaler, co-founder and co-CEO of EcoVadis. “But you can’t manage what you can’t see. For too long, companies have lacked real visibility into what’s happening deep in their supply chains, and that has real consequences for the people whose lives and labour power the global economy. This recognition reflects the need to understand what’s actually happening on the ground and using that insight to accelerate social good.”
Fast Company’s editorial team evaluated thousands of submissions to identify the 2026 honorees, focusing on organisations that drive progress across various industries. Brendan Vaughan, editor-in-chief of Fast Company, noted that the selected companies are “redefining what leadership looks like in 2026, pairing bold ideas with measurable impact and turning breakthrough innovation into real-world value.”
This marks the second appearance for EcoVadis on the list, following the 2024 recognition of its IQ Plus risk management solution. Today, the company’s tools support over 1,400 enterprise customers, actively aiming to improve conditions for approximately 176 million workers worldwide. By integrating worker-level intelligence into procurement decisions, EcoVadis continues to set a new benchmark for ethical supply chain management.
