FCA appoints new members to Sustainable Finance Advisory Committee

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has refreshed the membership of its Sustainable Finance Advisory Committee, as part of a planned, staggered approach to committee appointments aimed at balancing continuity with the introduction of new expertise.

As part of the refresh, Elly Dowding, Director of ESG Accord, and Farnam Bidgoli, an independent adviser, have been appointed as new members of the committee.

The FCA said the appointments reflect its intention to draw on a broad range of expertise to inform its work on sustainable finance.

Two existing members, Desiree Fixler and Harald Walkate, are stepping down from the committee after three years of service. The regulator thanked them for their contributions during their tenure.

The Sustainable Finance Advisory Committee advises the FCA on issues related to sustainable finance, including emerging trends and strategic developments, in support of the regulator’s objectives.
