Lune and gryn merge to expand CO₂ intelligence across logistics supply chains

Lune and gryn have merged, combining two logistics data and CO₂ insights platforms to address demand for more consistent, decision-useful emissions intelligence across supply chains.

The combined business will provide an end-to-end offering for shippers and logistics service providers, covering data collection, emissions calculation and analytics to support decarbonisation decisions. The move comes as companies face rising regulatory requirements, customer scrutiny and cost volatility, alongside persistent challenges linked to fragmented logistics data and manual reporting processes.

gryn’s platform focuses on consolidating shipment data from logistics providers on behalf of shippers, while Lune’s API integrates directly with logistics service providers to automate emissions data at source. The companies said the combination is intended to create broader coverage across the logistics ecosystem and reduce gaps in emissions reporting.

The merged platform serves more than 100 customers globally and covers tens of millions of shipments, including corporate clients such as AstraZeneca, Puma and Philip Morris, as well as logistics providers including JAS Worldwide, Flexport and Forto. The platform is accredited under the GLEC Framework and compliant with ISO 14083.

Existing customers are expected to see minimal disruption, with a phased transition planned. Lune will become the master brand over time, with gryn continuing as a dedicated solution for shippers.

Following the merger, Erik Stadigh will continue as chief executive of the combined company. Oliver Ritzmann will become chief strategy officer and managing director for Germany at Lune.

“Supply chain decarbonisation requires more than reporting, it requires intelligence that drives real decisions,” Stadigh said. “By bringing Lune and gryn together, we are building the intelligence layer that connects shippers and logistics providers, turns fragmented data into insight, and enables measurable impact at scale.”

Ritzmann said gryn was designed to help shippers overcome data barriers in logistics emissions. “Together with Lune’s deep integration into logistics providers, we can move from manual data collection to automated, network-driven CO₂ intelligence,” he said.

Roberto Bruggemann, co-founder and chief technology officer at Lune, said shippers and logistics providers had previously relied on fragmented tools. “Now they get one platform that handles collection, calculation, insight and action,” he said.
