ClimeFi has entered into a collaboration with Raisin to support Raisin’s engagement with the carbon removal market.
Under the arrangement, Raisin will work with ClimeFi to assess durable carbon removal options, drawing on project-level insights to inform its approach. The collaboration is intended to support Raisin’s efforts to understand and address greenhouse gas emissions, including actions beyond its direct operations.
Matthias Hennig-Frieten, head of sustainability and ESG at Raisin, said: “Taking our first steps in the carbon removal market with ClimeFi is an important milestone in our commitment to sustainability. The move supports our broader efforts to understand and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions over time, while also contributing to climate solutions beyond our own value chain.”
Paolo Piffaretti, chief executive and co-founder of ClimeFi, said the collaboration reflects growing interest among companies in durable carbon removal solutions.
Raisin operates digital platforms that connect savers and financial institutions across the EU, the UK and the US, providing access to more than 300 deposit-taking banks in ten markets.
