Schneider Electric partners with Greenly to accelerate SME supply chain decarbonisation

Energy technology leader Schneider Electric has announced a global partnership with carbon accounting platform Greenly to expand its Decarbonization Champion Program (DCP), aimed at accelerating emissions reductions across small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) supply chains.

Supported by SE Advisory Services, the company’s global consulting practice, the initiative provides SMEs across the electrical value chain—including contractors, panel builders, and system integrators—with tools to measure, track, and reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emissions.

The program combines Greenly’s carbon accounting software with tailored consulting support, upskilling modules through the Schneider Electric Sustainability and Energy Tech School, and technical audits to establish individual decarbonisation roadmaps. Schneider Electric estimates the value of the support package at over $34,000 annually per participating partner.

Initial pilot deployments conducted in the Pacific region revealed operational cost-saving opportunities through energy efficiency improvements. In Australia, preliminary audits identified annual savings opportunities exceeding $178,000 (AUD 250,000) for a Queensland-based manufacturer through compressed air optimization, load shifting, and equipment upgrades.

Bin Lu, Executive Vice President of Power Products at Schneider Electric, stated that the program aims to assist supply chain partners in building operational resilience and meeting evolving market expectations regarding environmental transparency.

Alexis Normand, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Greenly, added that combining automated accounting software with hands-on technical guidance provides smaller enterprises with accessible pathways to execute measurable emissions reductions.

The global expansion of the program comes as regulatory frameworks—including the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Australia’s Climate-Related Financial Disclosure (CRFD) regime—increase disclosure demands on corporate supply chains.
