PT Surya Energi Indotama (SEI), a subsidiary of PT Len Industri (Persero) focused on new and renewable energy, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Singapore-based Ampotech Pte. Ltd. to develop energy management solutions in Indonesia.

The agreement establishes a strategic partnership aimed at integrating both companies’ capabilities to market energy conservation, energy efficiency and ESG-focused solutions. SEI, which has an established track record in solar energy development in Indonesia, will work with Ampotech to deploy energy management hardware and software across industrial, commercial and residential sectors.

The collaboration covers system integration and testing of Ampotech’s technologies with supporting applications, joint development of marketing and communications materials, collaboration on strategic projects through both firms’ networks, and knowledge sharing through training sessions and technical workshops.

Khanestyo, Director of Marketing and Business Development at PT Surya Energi Indotama, said the partnership represents a concrete step in supporting Indonesia’s national energy transition, noting that combining SEI’s offerings with Ampotech’s automation and optimisation solutions could help improve energy efficiency across multiple sectors.

Ampotech Chief Executive Officer William Temple said the agreement marked an important milestone following the company’s entry into the Indonesian market in October 2025. He added that working with SEI would help accelerate deployments with Indonesian businesses and strengthen service delivery beyond Jakarta.

Both companies said the MoU provides a foundation for more detailed cooperation programmes in the future, as they seek to expand the use of integrated energy management solutions to support Indonesia’s clean energy and sustainability goals.
