SLB unveils Sequestri carbon storage solutions to support scalable CCS projects

SLB has introduced Sequestri, a new portfolio of carbon storage technologies and services designed to support the development of long-term carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects. The launch aims to enhance both the safety and cost-effectiveness of carbon storage initiatives across all stages of the project lifecycle.

The Sequestri offering includes hardware and digital tools intended to support project developers from site selection and planning through to development, operations, and monitoring. Drawing on over two decades of CCS experience, the portfolio provides integrated workflows for analysing, modelling, and simulating carbon storage systems.

“Advanced technology solutions have a crucial role to play in shifting the economics and safeguarding the integrity of carbon storage projects,” said Katherine Rojas, Senior Vice President of Industrial Decarbonization at SLB.

“The Sequestri portfolio offers a comprehensive suite of solutions that provide the precision, reliability and efficiency needed to advance carbon storage projects at every stage of their lifecycle.”

The Sequestri system is built around a digital framework that enables developers to screen, rank, and design projects while reducing uncertainty. It also includes engineered technologies tailored to storage applications, such as subsurface safety valves, measurement tools, and SLB’s EverCRETE™ CO₂-resistant cement system.

Sequestri complements SLB’s existing Capturi line of modular carbon capture systems, offering a full suite of carbon management solutions from emissions capture to geological storage. Together, the two portfolios aim to support industrial emitters and project developers in scaling up decarbonisation efforts.
