Tone Skuterud appointed EVP People, Organisation & Sustainability at Statkraft

Europe’s largest renewable energy generator Statkraft has named Tone Skuterud as Executive Vice President for People, Organisation, and Sustainability. Skuterud, currently Chief Transformation Officer at Telenor Norway, will assume the role by April 1, 2025. 

Skuterud brings extensive leadership experience in the telecommunications and energy sectors, having held senior positions at Telenor and previously spending 12 years at Statkraft. Her roles at Telenor included Chief Transformation Officer, Senior Vice President for Leadership and Culture, Governance and Sustainability, and Internal Audit and Investigation. During her tenure at Statkraft, she held positions in finance, strategy, and corporate audit. Her earlier career includes financial roles at Ernst & Young and Microsoft. She holds a Master’s degree (MSc) in Business and Economics from BI Norwegian Business School, and an Executive MBA in Strategic Management from The Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

Skuterud’s appointment completes Statkraft’s updated Group management team, announced in October. The new management team will include Birgitte Ringstad Vartdal, President and CEO, Hallvard Granheim, EVP Markets, Pål Eitrheim, EVP Nordics (joining June 1, 2025), Barbara Flesche, EVP Europe, Fernando De Lapuerta, EVP International ,Ingeborg Dårflot, EVP Technology and Project Delivery, Anna Nord Bjercke, EVP and CFO, Henrik Nissen Sætness, EVP Corporate Development, and Tone Skuterud, EVP People, Organisation, and Sustainability (joining by April 1, 2025). 

Interim arrangements include Dag Smedbold as Acting EVP Nordics and Henrik Nissen Sætness as Acting EVP People, Organisation, and Sustainability.
