ABOUT THE TRAINING
AA1000 Associate Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner (ACSAP) Certificate Course is designed to provide a solid foundation on the key AA1000 Series: AA1000 Stakeholder Engagement Standard, AA1000 AccountAbility Principles and AA1000 Assurance Standard, through focusing on their concepts, principles, and broad application. The participants will learn, analyse, and evaluate how the principles are applied to sustainability reporting through comprehensive practical exercises.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The training’s learning objectives include the following:
- Understand the concept of corporate responsibility.
- Understand the related AA1000 concepts, terminology, and expectations.
- Understand the purpose and requirements of the AA1000 Series of Standards.
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of a practitioner.
- Identify appropriate use and apply AA1000 concepts, requirements, and associated methodologies.
- The ACSAP Course consists of three Training modules, each of eight hours in duration.
- Participants wanting to earn the ACSAP certification must complete all three modules.
- Those not pursuing the full ACSAP certification may elect to complete the individual module(s) of their interest.
Module A: Stakeholder Engagement Practitioner Certificate Course (2 Half-Days)
Pre-requisite: None
This is a certificate course and entry point to the AA1000 Training series, which covers the AA1000AP (2018) and AA1000SES (2015). This module is focused on learning the stakeholder engagement process using the AA1000 Stakeholder Engagement Standard. There is no pre-requisite to register for this course.
Participants completing this module will earn a Certificate of Completion from Account Ability, UK.
Module B: Corporate Responsibility Practitioner Certificate Course (2 Half-Days)
Pre-requisite: Module A
This is a practitioner-level course on the application and reporting of each Account Ability Principle. This module is focused on learning the application of AA1000 Accountability Principles and reporting with reference to reporting standards and frameworks. This course, when taken with Module A, awards participants the distinction of Sustainability Practitioner. Participants must complete Module A before they can attend this module.
Participants completing Module A and Module B will be eligible for listing on the Account Ability website as “Corporate Responsibility Practitioner” for one year, renewable each year to continue listing.
Module C: Associate Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner Certificate Course (2 Half-Days)
Pre-requisite: Module A+B
This is a practitioner-level course covering foundational sustainability assurance knowledge using the AA1000AS v3. This course, when completed with Modules A and B, earns the participant the Associate Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner (ACSAP) qualification and contributes toward a practitioner’s learning journey to achieve higher qualifications such as the Practising Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner (PCSAP) and Lead CSAP Practitioner (LCSAP) designation. Participants must complete Module A and Module B before they can attend this module.
Participants will be listed on the Account Ability website as “Associate Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner (ACSAP)” for one year, renewable each year to continue listing.
