ABOUT THE TRAINING

The Certified GHG Professional Training Course provides a comprehensive, hands-on approach to GHG accounting and reporting using the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard. Participants will gain practical skills to calculate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across their operations and value chain. Developed and delivered by GHG experts, the course integrates learning through real-life case studies and practical examples.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of the course, participants will:

Apply GHG emissions accounting principles and set organisational, operational, and base year boundaries in accordance with the GHG Protocol.
Collect and organise activity data required for GHG emissions calculations across Scope 1, 2, and 3.
Independently calculate Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions using appropriate methodologies and emission factors.
Identify material Scope 3 categories and apply suitable calculation approaches for each.
Prepare GHG emissions reports that align with GHG Protocol best practices and disclosure requirements.
Evaluate and apply GHG target-setting approaches to support organisational decarbonisation goals.
TRAINING PROGRAMME

The Certified GHG Professional Training Course consists of five sessions. Participants wanting to earn the Certified GHG Professional Certificate must complete the course (all five sessions) and pass the required assessments.

TRAINING CERTIFICATE
Participants who successfully complete the training course and pass the assessments at the end of each session will be awarded the Certified GHG Professional Certificate.
To recognise this achievement, CSRWorks will maintain a public directory of Certified GHG Professionals on its website.
