Crédit Agricole CIB appoints Mathieu Rousson to lead new global energy & real assets advisory platform

Crédit Agricole CIB has appointed Mathieu Rousson as Global Head of Energy & Real Assets Advisory as part of a strategic initiative to expand its global structured finance capabilities.

Under Rousson’s leadership, the bank has launched a newly created Advisory platform that consolidates all specialized debt advisory capabilities within the Energy & Real Assets division. Operating under Danielle Baron, Global Head of Energy & Real Assets, and supported by Gabriel de Laval as Deputy, the centralized platform brings together debt advisory teams across key financial hubs in London, Paris, Madrid, and New York City to deliver capital stack solutions for international clients.

Rousson brings over 20 years of investment banking experience in New York to the new role, including 13 years managing project finance transactions across Latin America. Most recently serving as Head of the Energy & Infrastructure Group for Latin America since 2023, he managed cross-border teams across multiple markets and grew the bank’s regional franchise.

Rousson, who announced the career transition via a social media update reflecting on his work across Latin America, has relocated to London to take up the position.
