Enterprise sustainability platform Sweep and carbon intelligence provider Climatiq have announced a strategic partnership to integrate Climatiq’s ISO 14067-certified calculation engine into Sweep’s supply chain management software.
The collaboration introduces a conversational artificial intelligence tool designed to streamline how global buyers request, calculate, and verify supplier product carbon footprints (PCFs). The initiative addresses growing corporate demand for primary supplier data to satisfy Scope 3 Category 1 (purchased goods and services) reporting requirements.
The partnership comes as multinational enterprises face mounting regulatory pressures to disclose verified value-chain emissions under frameworks such as California’s SB 253 and the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Key technical, operational, and financial elements of the partnership include:
- Guided PCF Engine: Combines Sweep’s AI platform with Climatiq’s automated emission-factor matching—covering data across more than 60 providers and 300 regions—allowing suppliers to generate audit-ready PCFs from basic bills of materials.
- Standardised Methodology: Aligns all generated product footprints with the Pathfinder Framework (PACT) methodology, enabling institutional buyers to compare emissions profiles consistently across diverse supplier bases.
- Layered Supplier Engagement: Enables corporate buyers to combine high-level spend hotspot analysis with targeted, supplier-funded PCF calculations for high-impact procurement categories.
- Enterprise Scale: Combines Climatiq’s multilingual mapping capabilities—which support 47 languages—with Sweep’s enterprise client network, which includes major multinationals such as L’Oréal, Thales, and Crocs.
Rachel Delacour, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Sweep, stated that integrating Climatiq’s calculation engine provides enterprise sustainability teams with defensible, primary supplier data to replace generic spend-based estimates in formal regulatory filings.
Hessam Lavi, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Climatiq, added that embedding automated carbon intelligence directly into enterprise supply chain workflows accelerates the deployment of reliable product-level carbon insights across complex global networks.
