Achilles launches action plans module to track supplier risk remediation

Supply chain risk and performance management provider Achilles has launched Achilles Action Plans, a functional module designed to assist procurement teams in converting verified supplier audit findings into structured remediation workflows.

The software platform provides buyers with tools to establish targeted corrective action plans following the identification of operational, financial, or ESG risks. Applicable across areas including health and safety, sustainability, compliance, cyber security, and financial stability, the system enables buyers to define required improvements, set completion deadlines, and review verification evidence submitted by suppliers.

The module operates as a collaborative interface between procurement teams and vendors, allowing suppliers to submit evidence of progress, raise operational queries, and confirm completed remediation steps.

Key operational features and platform access details include:

  • Customisable remediation workflows: Action plans can be tailored to match specific supplier profiles, severity levels, regulatory requirements, and corporate risk appetites.
  • Audit trail integration: The system logs communications, submitted evidence, and progress updates to create an auditable record from initial risk discovery through to resolution.
  • Commercial availability: Achilles Action Plans is available immediately to buying organisations as an add-on module to existing Achilles subscriptions. Supplier access is automatically enabled at no extra cost to vendors once a buyer initiates a plan.

Mark Chamberlain, Chief Product Officer at Achilles, stated: “Identifying supplier risk is important, but the real value comes from what you do with that insight. Action Plans helps organisations close the gap between identifying an issue and addressing it. Buyers can set clear expectations, suppliers can demonstrate the action they have taken, and both have visibility of progress. It turns supplier assurance from a point-in-time assessment into a practical process for reducing risk and improving performance.”
