Apple and CleanMax deepen partnership to accelerate industrial decarbonisation in India

Apple has expanded its commitment to India’s renewable energy sector through a strategic co-investment partnership with Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Limited. The transaction, valued at approximately ₹100 crore, is designed to scale renewable energy deployment across India’s commercial and industrial segments.

The deal strengthens an existing relationship between the tech giant and the Mumbai-based renewables provider, as Apple continues to aggressively pursue cleaner operations and supply chain decarbonisation within one of its fastest-growing markets.

The partnership focuses on accelerating the development of clean energy infrastructure to support India’s manufacturing and technology operations. According to CleanMax, the co-investment model is becoming an increasingly vital mechanism for financing and fast-tracking large-scale green projects.

The agreement comes amidst a significant shift in India’s energy landscape, where corporate demand for solar, wind, and hybrid systems is rising. This trend is driven by a combination of favourable government policies and intensifying global pressure on corporations to reduce their Scope 3 emissions.

CleanMax, which serves over 570 customers across India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, highlighted that data centres and AI-related industries are now major drivers of the transition. As of the third quarter of FY26, these high-energy-demand sectors account for 42% of the company’s contracted volumes.

“We are pleased to deepen our partnership with Apple once again,” said Kuldeep Jain, Managing Director and Founder of CleanMax. “CleanMax sees itself as a long-term net-zero partner for corporates and values working with companies that are pushing the industry toward faster and more responsible sustainability adoption.”
