Sustainability Analyst (Japanese Speaking)

Role and introduction

CSRWorks International is a boutique-style sustainability advisory, assurance, training and thought leadership firm headquartered in Singapore, working with clients across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and North America. We support organisations on sustainability strategy, reporting, climate action, sustainability ratings, and assurance.

We are hiring entry-level, Japanese-speaking Sustainability Analysts to join our consulting team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates and post-graduates who want to build strong, practical skills and a long-term career in sustainability consulting.

You will work on real client projects from day one, contribute to professional deliverables, and learn directly from experienced practitioners. CSRWorks is a Certified Great Place to Work®. CSRWorks is also a carbon-neutral company.

Responsibilities

·       Support sustainability consulting engagements across reporting, climate and carbon management, sustainability ratings, and assurance

·       Coordinate various sustainability projects for clients in Japan

·       Research sustainability standards, regulations, and best practices

·       Collect, validate, and analyse data for client disclosures and assessments

·       Draft sections of sustainability reports, presentations, and client materials

·       Support project coordination, quality reviews, and timelines

·       Collaborate with team members across projects and geographies

Requirements

We are looking for motivated candidates with strong fundamentals and a willingness to learn.

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline

·       Native-level Japanese language (speaking and writing) proficiency and working-level English (speaking) is mandatory.

·       Strong interest in sustainability, climate change, or corporate responsibility

·       Good research, analytical, and writing skills

·       Ability to structure information clearly and communicate insights through written and presentation materials

·       Attention to detail and comfort working with structured data

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

·       Comfortable using digital tools; familiarity with responsible use of AI is an advantage; programming skills will be an added advantage

·       Comfort working with numbers; basic statistical or data modelling skills are an advantage Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines

·       Willingness to work with clients and teams across different time zones when required

·       Prior internships or academic projects in sustainability are a plus, but not essential
