Global technology services provider NTT DATA and energy firm ENGIE have established a strategic partnership to supply low-carbon power for NTT DATAâs expanding global data centre and artificial intelligence footprint.
The collaboration goes beyond a conventional supply relationship, creating a long-term framework for renewable energy procurement and integrated power solutions across key priority markets. The initiative addresses the growing energy demands of AI and cloud computing while supporting NTT DATA’s long-term net-zero targets.
Working agreements under the multinational deal have already been formalised in the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands. In the UK, NTT DATA has signed a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement running until September 2030, which will supply its data centres with electricity generated by an RE100-compatible 24 MW wind farm in South Wales.
David Costa, Chief Sustainability Officer at NTT DATA, Inc., noted that long-term AI success depends on sustainable deployment, adding that energy transition and technological transformation must progress together. ENGIE UK Chief Executive Miya Paolucci highlighted that the agreement demonstrates how collaborative approaches can deliver the sustainable infrastructure needed for long-term digital growth.
