Avetta and eco-shaper launch integrated GHG calculator

Avetta®, a provider of supply chain risk management and work readiness solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with sustainability specialist eco-shaper to streamline carbon accounting for global suppliers. The collaboration has resulted in the launch of “eco-shaper mini,” a custom-built greenhouse gas (GHG) calculator now integrated directly into the Avetta platform.

The initiative aims to lower the barrier for small and medium-sized suppliers who are increasingly required to provide emissions transparency to their hiring clients but often lack the resources or technical expertise for complex carbon reporting.

Traditionally, GHG data collection has been a resource-intensive hurdle for supply chain participants. eco-shaper mini addresses this by using straightforward operational inputs to calculate Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions based on recognised carbon accounting methodologies.

By embedding the tool within the existing Avetta ecosystem, suppliers can now manage their emissions reporting in the same digital space where they handle health, safety, and other compliance requirements.

“Suppliers are being asked to provide more sustainability data than ever before, but many do not have the internal resources to respond efficiently,” said Katie Martin, Director of Sustainability and Innovation at Avetta. “Our partnership with eco-shaper removes a key barrier by making emissions measurement more accessible.”

For hiring organisations, the tool provides a more reliable stream of primary data, which is essential for meeting corporate sustainability goals and regulatory disclosure requirements. The broader participation enabled by the tool’s simplicity allows for greater visibility into total supply chain footprints.

“Most suppliers want to take meaningful action on sustainability, but are understandably unsure where to begin,” said Tracey Carr, CEO at eco-shaper. “We are putting an intuitive, credible solution directly into the hands of the companies that need it most.”

The tool is specifically designed as a practical starting point for organisations that do not require the complexity of high-end enterprise sustainability software. Early feedback from the industry suggests the integration will significantly reduce the administrative burden on environmental and operations teams.

Daniel Jacobs, Director of Sustainability at Harvard Maintenance, noted that the tool will “save time, reduce uncertainty, and support our ongoing commitment to meeting changing expectations.”

As procurement decisions are increasingly influenced by ESG performance, the ability to provide accurate, verified emissions data is becoming a critical component of supplier “work readiness” in a competitive global market.
