EcoVadis and Vertice partner to integrate ESG ratings into AI procurement workflows

Sustainability ratings provider EcoVadis has announced a strategic partnership with Vertice, an artificial intelligence procurement platform, establishing Vertice as EcoVadis’ inaugural AI procurement orchestration partner.

The integration embeds EcoVadis’ global ESG ratings and scorecard data directly into Vertice’s automated procurement workflows. The combined platform allows corporate procurement teams to evaluate vendor sustainability metrics alongside Vertice’s commercial intelligence, which covers contract terms, pricing benchmarks, and supplier risk data.

The partnership comes as enterprise software providers focus on embedding verified sustainability data into routine purchasing systems. The integration is already operational across shared enterprise accounts, including London-listed business process outsourcing group Capita.

Key technical, operational, and market features of the collaboration include:

  • Workflow integration: Embeds ESG performance metrics directly into everyday purchasing decisions, allowing procurement managers to weigh environmental and governance performance against cost and commercial terms.
  • Commercial intelligence scale: Combines EcoVadis’ database of over 175,000 rated companies with Vertice’s procurement dataset, which tracks more than $75 billion in global indirect spend across 250,000 negotiated contracts and 32,000 SaaS vendors.
  • Ratings recognition: Leverages EcoVadis’ top-three ranking for quality and usefulness among corporates and investors in the latest ERM Sustainability Institute Rate the Raters report.
  • Platform validation: Follows Vertice’s recent recognition as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide AI-Enabled Spend Orchestration 2026 assessment and top placement in G2’s 2026 Procurement Orchestration Grid Reports.

Annette Gevaert, Senior Vice President of Alliances & Partnerships at EcoVadis, stated that embedding verified sustainability metrics into core purchasing software ensures ESG impact is systematically evaluated alongside price during commercial negotiations.

Suraj Naik, Group Procurement Director and Chief Procurement Officer at Capita, added that integrating EcoVadis scores into Vertice’s AI orchestration engine ensures supplier ESG performance becomes a mandatory consideration across company-wide sourcing decisions.

Roy Tuvey, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Vertice, noted that supplying agentic AI workflows with verified ESG intelligence enables enterprise buyers to meet corporate sustainability mandates while maintaining cost optimisation targets.
